With the announcement of the nominations for the 2024 Oscars, awards season has reached its peak.
The latest films, actors and directors in the running for the trophies have been named, with Oppenheimer, Poor Things and Barbie leading the way.
As always, however, there are the usual snubs that have caused outrage among film fans. Concerns originally sparked by the reveal of the Bafta nominations earlier this month have come true, with Barbie director Greta Gerwig, Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers) and Charles Melton (May, December) all left out stayed.
The nominations are announced by Atlanta and Joker actor Zazie Beetz along with Jack Quaid, who appeared in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer – and are all detailed in our live blog here and below.
