Sofía Vergara was heavily criticized for her portrayal of Griselda Blanco by the son of the late Colombian drug lord.

The 51-year-old Colombian actress plays the lead role of the drug kingpin in the Netflix series “Griselda” and is almost unrecognizable in this role.

But according to Blanco's son, Michael Corleone Blanco, the “Modern Family” alum's interpretation of his late mother is downright “disrespectful.”

“Sofía Vergara did not consult with members of the Blanco family when portraying my mother to show respect or elicit family details,” Blanco, 45, told Fox News.

“When I learned about the 'Griselda' project, my team reached out to Sofia's camp and offered my consulting services.”

He claimed that Vergara, who serves as an executive producer on the show, and her team told him that there was “no place on the project” to consult with him or other members of his family.

“Sofia's camp and the Netflix creators were disrespectful and ultimately produced the 'Griselda' project on their own for commercial reasons, without important details from the Blanco family,” he told the medium.

“After the table meeting, my lawyers formally sent a cease and desist letter to Netflix and Sofia’s camp. To date, neither Netflix nor Sofia’s camp have made any attempts to reconcile.”

“Regardless of public information, fundamental respect is required,” he continued. “I am Griselda's only living son who has life rights agreements signed by Griselda herself in which she intended me to carry out her life story.”

“I am a businessman in the entertainment industry and understand the importance of movies as I want to publish a book based on a true story,” he added.

Blanco ran her drug business out of Miami from the 1970s to the early 2000s. She was nicknamed “The Cocaine Queen” and “The Godmother” and was feared for her business tactics.

Blanco was arrested in 1985 and charged with conspiracy to manufacture, import and distribute cocaine. She was released from prison in 2004 after serving 15 years.

She was murdered in 2012 at the age of 69 in a drive-by motorcycle shooting in Medellin, Colombia.

Elsewhere, Michael told the Chron that he didn't like the way Vergara looked when she transformed into his late mother.

“My mother was a beautiful woman and it's crazy that a lot of people say, 'No, you must look more like a drug addict.' The fact that they call her 'ugly' really offends me,” he told the outlet.

“People see the mugshots and just go off of it. But if you read my book, you will see that my mother was called the Porcelain Doll when she was young.”

Vergara recently revealed that she spent at least three hours on hair and makeup to transform into Blanco.

Michael's stern comments come after he high-profile sued Vergara and Netflix over the new series, TMZ reported.

Michael is trying to get a judge to issue a temporary restraining order preventing the release of the six-part series, which premieres on January 25 on the streaming platform.

He and his siblings claim that the series copied his family's story to incorporate it into the plot of “Griselda” – and that their images and likenesses were used in the series without their permission, a violation of their rights .

The Post has reached out to Vergara's representatives, while Netflix declined to comment.
