The Offer or how a work of art was created

I watch the series “The Offer” (also available on SkyShowtime) in one sitting on Movistar and feel lucky to have something as underrated as entertainment. It's long and it's clear that it was filmed on a relatively limited budget. But what he says fascinates me. And I suspect that not just me, but many generations of moviegoers are eternally in love with a saga called The Godfather. Not just for the natives of film libraries. Also for everyone who loves cinema. I clarify with the good, with the undeniable, that which arouses emotions in all kinds of spectators, in the excellent and the ordinary, in scholars and ordinary people. Who could not like what Coppola has produced in this amazing trilogy, or who could feel indifference and boredom before Casablanca and The Apartment?

This series chronicles the diverse and admirable efforts of Albert S. Ruddy, an inexperienced and tenacious executive producer, who, despite enormous difficulties, created a work of art. Not only did the business owners, speculators who were only interested in economic investments and box office returns, distrust her. The dark pressure of the mafia also intervened, logically out of fear of the image it might project of their deadly universe. And the political crooks. And the excellent Frank Sinatra feeling that you recognize in one of his characters. Those in power and the most powerful bureaucrats only trusted certain recipes for success; they were allergic to stories that wanted to be told through art.

I imagine that there are exaggerations and half-truths in The Offer, that reality can sometimes be distorted to make it more dramatic. But it's clear that great magic worked in the final result of The Godfather. And this was possible not only thanks to Coppola's immense talent, but also thanks to people who unshakably believed that the miracle could come true. And I'm watching all three parts of “The Godfather” again. And my orgasm is the same as always.
