WWE Smackdown Report January 26th LA Knight, Orton and Styles fight; New champions as a pair; Carlito vs. Escobar PRWrestling

Results from Friday evening.

After rapper and reggaeton artist Eladio Carrión introduced Randy Orton to the ring, he cut a promo and announced that he was coming for the WWE Championship. AJ Styles interrupted him and said he had a receipt for Orton and would go through anyone to win the title, but LA Knight abruptly interrupted him. After mocking Styles' complaints, LA Knight vowed to defeat Solo Sikoa tonight and ignore anyone who stands in his way. After Knight left the ring, Styles gave Orton a push kick and a Pele kick.



Santos Escobar defeats Carlito. The LWO and Humberto and Angel got into an argument outside. Out of nowhere, Elektra López attacked Zelina Vega, which distracted Carlito. Escobar then took Carlito to victory.

Styles is seen running and runs into Jimmy Uso. The rest of the OC approaches and asks Styles what this is about. Styles told them not to worry about it.

Nick Aldis appeared backstage and Ava entered the scene and asked Aldis for advice. Street Profits and Bobby Lashley attended, who drew a number for the Royal Rumble. Escobar came in and pulled out a number. None of the numbers have been disclosed.

The Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane and Asuka) defeat Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new women's pairs champions.

Paul Heyman spoke to Solo Sikoa. Heyman urged Sikoa to “solve the problem” and show no mercy in his fight. Jimmy Uso said that Sikoa was scary and Heyman told Jimmy that Roman reached the level of a tribal chief because he saw a moment and took advantage of it. Heyman mentioned Seth Rollins and told Jimmy to seize the moment and enter the Royal Rumble, win it and challenge Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) came marching to the ring because they wanted a match with The Final Testament. The Last Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering and Scarlett) arrived on the ramp before Scarlett entered the ring. Lashely, Ford and Dawkins said they were afraid for bringing Scarlett into the ring, but Ellering said Kross wasn't afraid. Kross told Lashley that he was not in control and that they would not be having their match tonight. Scarlett was a distraction, causing Testament to attack The Street Profits and Lashley.



Austin Theory defeated Carmelo Hayes. Theory and Waller continued the attack until Trick Williams came to the rescue.

Bianca Belair and Bayley have drawn their numbers. Bayley didn't seem happy with hers.

LA Knight defeated Solo Sikoa by disqualification due to Aj Styles' intervention, Uso got a chair but Uso gave him a death glare. Uso dropped the chair on the floor and told Styles to do what he had to do before Sikoa told him the same thing or else he would take care of him. Styles attacked Sikoa and Uso before Orton entered. Orton hit Styles with an uppercut and a powerslam on Uso, but Sikoa pulled him out of the ring. Sikoa attempted a uranage, but Orton countered with the Singh Bomb on Sikoa through the transfer table. Back in the ring, Orton hit the draping DDT on Uso before also hitting Styles before catching Styles with the RKO. Orton got up to end the broadcast, but not before Knight hit Orton with a BFT to end it.
