Former Montreal Alouettes defenseman Kelly Malveaux has died at the age of 47.
The cause of death is not known, the Arizona Daily Star reported Thursday.

The Long Beach, California native wore the Sparrows' colors in 2004 and 2005. In his first season in Montreal, he stood out by intercepting four balls and being named to the association's all-star team. from the east.
