The 24-year-old artist has a warm, raspy voice, an energetic soul, personality and the stage animal in him is certainly ready to blossom.
As a marketing manager for a real estate investment company, Joey is ready to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter and make a living from his art. So far, this diamond in the rough has been composed for pleasure, but it feels ready to share its universe with Quebecers.

“I've always wanted to do that. I was ready to do this last year, but after the blind audition I wasn't ready to take the next step. It was the big moment and I couldn't see any further.” This year it was a different story, said the young man, who sees his strengths in his “pretty lively personality” and his “funky and crazy” side.
After singing a lot since his first appearance on La Voix and taking in all the good comments, Joey came in full of confidence and the belief that the Season 10 Blind Audition would be the opportunity to take the next step. He admits that his song choice last year, “I Will Survive,” when he accompanied himself on guitar, may not have been the most appropriate.
Double blocking
Trainers fought to have him in their stable. Corneille initially blocked Roxane Bruneau, but he was aiming for France D'Amour! Then Mario, in turn, blocked France. Joey eventually joined Cornelius by “following”. [s]we heart”.

“Cornelius' story is really difficult in an emotional way and is also well received by my parents, who also have a difficult story. There is a connection there. As a person he is a real guy. He will tell you things with the goal of making you the best artist possible. He is a really eloquent man, he knows how to find the strengths of each individual and bring them to the fore.”
Joey was born in Quebec to Lebanese parents and also lived in New York. “English is my native language and French is my second language, which became my first. Sometimes I also compose in Arabic.”
For most of his life, Joey made music to “expose” her. [s]“more negative feelings.”
“On a musical level, I live and feel the songs when I sing. My goal is to awaken emotions.”
No matter what happens in the next phases of The Voice, Joey sings every time like it's the last time. And he dreams of a full-fledged career on stage.
