It's safe to assume Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney won't be in uniform for the Super Bowl game and won't be back in Kansas City next year.
On Sunday, when his teammates defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the American Association finals, the 25-year-old athlete was at home. According to the team, he has a hip injury. His name has also been on the injured list for six weeks.

During the matchup against the Ravens, Toney did a “live” on his Instagram account in which he made a formal appearance against his team. In a lengthy tirade that included an impressive number of coronations, the receiver essentially claimed that the Chiefs lied about his health.
The video was removed from his Instagram account, but netizens posted it on X.
Toney has been with the Kansas City club since the 2022 season after being acquired in a trade with the New York Giants. He had a particularly difficult campaign in 2023. He notably dropped several passes and caused his team's loss on December 10 with an easily avoidable penalty against the Buffalo Bills.
The man, who earns around $2.5 million a year, has one more year left on his contract. However, it wouldn't be a surprise if the Chiefs released him based on his recent escapade.
