Armie Hammer's bloodlust was so strong that he once killed a deer, ripped out its heart and ate it raw while it was still warm, a former girlfriend claimed.
And the accused cannibal told her that he would always like to find new “vanilla” girls to subject to his twisted sexual fantasies.
Effie Angelova, 27, the first woman to accuse the Call Me By Your Name star of abuse, made the claims in an exclusive interview with , three years after she became the first woman to accuse Hammer.
She made the decision to speak out — and publish her memoir about the abuse online — because she felt Hammer had shown no remorse.
“I was afraid to talk about my trauma because I am being harassed and harassed and harassed by supporters of rapists,” the Bulgarian national said.
“But I keep hearing that my abuser is hurting more and more girls.”
“He hasn't changed. It seems he has become more manipulative.
Effie Angelova, 27, shared a disturbing account of the “abuse” she suffered during her four-year relationship with Armie Hammer and the toll it continues to take on her
Angelova first made the allegations in 2021 when she filed a complaint accusing him of raping her in 2017. However, prosecutors ultimately decided against pursuing further charges years later
“Justice has not been served,” Angelova added. “I want rapists to be held accountable.” “He is a rapist and should be held accountable.”
A spokesman for Hammer declined to comment on Angelova's claims, but in announcing his office's decision not to prosecute, L.A. Attorney George Gascon acknowledged “due to the complexity of the relationship.” [between Hammer and Angelova] and because we are unable to prove a non-consensual, violent sexual encounter, we are unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
After Angelova, other women came forward. They made similar allegations that the actor subjected them to violent, kinky sex that left them bruised, bleeding and traumatized, and that he expressed a penchant for “cannibalism.”
Angelova's decision to speak out came after revealed a new woman in Hammer's life last month. Kazakhstan-born IT specialist Marina Gris claimed they were getting married but has now called off their relationship.
Gris made no allegations of abuse against the actor, who first made his big break playing the Winklevoss twins in “The Social Network,” the 2010 film about the founding of Facebook.
Hammer and Angelova began dating in 2016 after meeting on Facebook when she was just 20 years old. Now she has revealed openly and in detail how a toxic pattern of coercive control enforced through threats emerged.
Effie Angelova described Hammer's alleged abuse on the website Medium under her full name, Efrosina Angelova
She says Hammer's disgusting fantasies included his fixation on cannibalism, blood play, knives, broken bones and even violent death during sex.
As their relationship progressed, Angelova remembers Hammer talking more and more about his fascination with blood – playing with it and even drinking it.
Hammer's alleged fixation with cannibalism is found first and foremost in Angelova's memories of their twisted relationship.
In dozens of texts – apparently quoted verbatim by Angelova – Hammer shared dark sexual fantasies that involved harming her and even killing her in order to consume her.
She claims he told her, “I'm going to kill you.” That's the only way to die. Do you understand?'
“Blood is just so primal,” he reportedly said. “And in. It is the purest form of a person's life force. And if you want to eat someone alive, that's the best you can get.'
Another time he said to her, “Please fix my soul.” I need your help. I want to eat you alive. I want to bite fucking pieces off you. I must devour you. This is my skin. I would eat it if I were there.
“I would swallow it. I would chase you so quickly and pounce on you if you tried to leave. You're going to need something strong to hold me back from you. I feel very possessive.'
Then he added, “I've cut the heart out of a live animal before and eaten it while it was still warm.” I shot it, ran, pulled out a knife, cut out the heart and ate it. Raw. Still warm.
“The feeling of the muscle fiber, the taste of the iron in the blood.” I couldn't stop. I smeared blood on my face.
“I would eat your heart too if I wasn’t stuck without you after this.”
Effie shared screenshots of messages from the actor, some too disturbing to publish, in which he expressed his dark, sadistic fantasies
He told her he wanted to “devour” her and “eat her alive,” and underscored how literal he was in making these statements by claiming that he had once eaten the “still warm” heart of a deer
Hammer described fantasies that involved causing her harm and even death in order to consume her
Last year, the Los Angeles district attorney's office announced it would not file charges against Hammer, despite Angelova's claims that he raped her in 2017.
Angelova claims that when she accused Hammer of rape, he responded, “I still have some pent-up aggression that I can take out on your body.”
She admits that she kept going back to Hammer as he played with her emotions. She describes the reason for this as being that they shared a “trauma bond.”
She says he bombarded her with love messages. He wanted her so badly that he called her the “gold standard” among women, or in his words, “The Michael Phelps of f***ing.”
“Do you remember how many nights we stayed up all night talking?” he wrote to her.
“How much have we shared? It all meant something and it was all beautiful and no matter how poorly I handled the situation (very poorly…), I don't think it should diminish that (sic)…
“You deserve much better…All signs here point to my guilt.” And I know I've said this before, but I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.'
He even told her about his fantasy that both of them would die during sex.
“I will strangle you and as you die you will hold a rope to a device that will cut my throat so that as we die we will feel the warmth of my blood covering us.”
Two years later, she claims, Hammer reached out to her and expressed a desire to “make amends.”
The shocking news appears to support her claims that Hammer was addicted to cannibalism, blood play, knives, violent death during sex and broken bones
She writes that he told her, “I was in intensive therapy for years and it changed my life.”
But two women – Dallas-based app founder Courtney Vucekovich and professional skier and later Instagram model Paige Lorenze – actually came forward with their own accounts of “traumatic” experiences with Hammer the following year.
Lorenze claimed that the fallen star stabbed and branded her.
According to Angelova, Hammer said he enjoyed introducing new girls to his dark fantasies.
“I like newcomers because I can train them perfectly,” he is said to have said.
“When I find a vanilla girl, I make it my mission to find the kink in her and pull it out. I want to find her limits and then challenge and expose her to more than she thought she could handle.”
He said of one of these women, “We met while working together.” She was vanilla until I kicked her out. We got into blood games… I drank her blood.'
Angelova says she repeatedly declined Hammer's invitations to accompany him to New York, Saudi Arabia and Canada – all places where, she claims, he told her he wanted to inflict “torture” on her.
“I had suicidal thoughts,” she admits. “And blocked him for some time. But because of the trauma bond, I went back and kept trying to heal him with spirituality, which of course didn’t work.”
Angelova admits that she was trapped in a toxic and addictive cycle that she repeatedly failed to break out of.
She would cut off Hammer. He would like to bombard and force them. She would give in, only to see him making more and more degrading demands to turn her into his “little slave.”
“I wanted to find excuses for him,” she says. “And I wondered if his disruptive behavior was due to his drug use.”
But Hammer herself, she says, rejected that reading as too simplistic, writing to her: “It's too easy to just pass it off as drugs,” and feels dismissive. “Don’t blame the drugs…it’s much more complicated than that.”
She called him a “monster.” She says she tried to leave but kept staying until the day she didn't.
In February 2020, something began to break inside Angelova. She confronted Hammer about the alleged rape and this time she didn't let it go.
Prague-based Marina Gris, a Kazakhstan-born IT specialist, is the latest woman Hammer is known to be dating. They got engaged last year but have since broken up. Gris has not yet accused him of abuse
Hammer and ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers were married for ten years before announcing their divorce, which was finalized in June 2023
Hammer's former girlfriends Paige Lorenze (left) and Courtney Vucekovich came forward after Effie Angelova first made her allegations. Both said the actor was fixated on eating parts of their bodies
Looking back, Angelova remembers telling him, “Even though you still deny your actions and want to blame others, you have caused me lasting harm.” I can only hope that there aren't too many other girls who you abused and they suffer in silence. You have to stop hurting women…
'I'll never forgive you.'
The following month, an anonymous rape allegation against Hammer surfaced online. According to Angelova, it was so similar to her own experience that “it shocked me.”
Then texts between Hammer and “another woman who was silenced in 2018” also surfaced online.
Angelova couldn't take it anymore. She found her voice and filed her complaint, but the district attorney declined to press charges.
While she may not have received the “justice” she was looking for, Angelova still believes she could find some peace in some way.
“I suffer from complex post-traumatic stress disorder every day because of what Armie did to me.”
“For my healing, I want Armie to show true remorse for what he did to me.”
