Megan Thee Stallion's 'Megan's Law' 'Hiss' Line Blasted By Kanka Family – TMZ

Megan Thee Stallion's beef with Nicki Minaj has invoked a famous law designed to protect people from sex offenders – and the father of the girl it's named after isn't happy about it.

Richard Kanka — his daughter, Megan Kankawas murdered in the '90s by a sex offender who was not legally required to identify himself in his neighborhood at the time and who Megan's Law is inspired by – is angry that MTS casually drops his daughter's name in “Hiss.” “…the diss track that started this new feud between her and NM.

He tells TMZ that from his perspective, it's extremely disrespectful for Megan to include his late daughter's name in the profanity-filled song aimed at Nicki — and he notes that MTS actually appears to be shedding light on the law bring whatever she does I won't change his sour feeling.

Kanka tells us that using his daughter's name in such a graphic/insulting way was a huge insult to the pain his daughter and his family felt… and although he says he has yet to hear the title with his own ears After all, he did read the text – and it's still a no-go for him.

By the way, the text in question reads: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan.” [referring to herself]”those whores crazy about Megan's Law” – a reference Meg used to shoot Nicki's husband, Kenneth Pettywho is registered as a sex offender in New York.

A somewhat morbid history lesson… the bill that became Megan's Law came into effect a month after the brutal murder and rape of Richard's 7-year-old daughter – the devastation that Richard still struggles with to this day… so understandably so it is an extremely sensitive topic.

He admits that Megan's music (rap) isn't his thing…so he only found out about it when one of his kids told him. RK says he still decided not to listen – and instead read the lyrics of “Hiss” to see what exactly was being said about his daughter. As we said, the guy is still offended by it… even if some view MTS's use positively.

There's this… Richard tells TMZ that the song left such a bad taste in his mouth that he's actually thinking about exploring his legal options to see if Meg's title went too far.

Unfortunately for Richard… there probably isn't much he can do on that front. Artists have liberties when it comes to puns and referencing big historical moments – and that's exactly what Megan did here… and while crazy, the threat of legal action feels empty.

Whatever the case, this argument has only escalated since Meg fired the first shot – Nicki fired back her own diss trackBig Foot, and people have mixed reactions to it…good and bad.

Now there's a new angry party in the mix… Megan Kanka's dad and he sounds pissed.
