Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Irene Taylor, this “raw and intimate portrait” will follow the Quebec singer in her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (RPS), Amazon MGM Studios announced in a press release.

Filmed over more than a year, “I Am: Celine Dion” reveals never-before-seen moments in the global star's life while allowing viewers to follow her in her daily life at home or in the recording studio.

“The last few years have been a great challenge for me, from discovering the disease to learning to live with it and deal with it without letting it define me,” says Celine Dion in the press release.

“As I get back into my career, I realize how much I missed being able to see my fans. While I was away, I wanted to document this part of my life to raise awareness of this little-known disease and help people who share this diagnosis,” she continues.

Amazon MGM Studios, which acquired international rights to the documentary, will release the film on its Prime Video platform in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The release date is not yet known.

Recall that in 2023, Celine Dion had to cancel performances on her Courage world tour due to health problems. She has since starred in the film Love Again, for which she recorded five new songs.
