The businessman had been arrested the day before by the Sûreté du Québec. He has since been arrested.

The alleged events occurred between September 2017 and January 2024.

However, a court order prevents us from providing details of the evidence disclosed at the release inquiry stage.

The same applies to Judge Gilles Garneau's reasons for his decision.

The defendant will therefore be able to live at home and not remain in prison while awaiting trial. He must comply with several conditions, including the imposition of a nighttime curfew. He also had to surrender his passports and will not be able to leave the province.

A sum of $200,000 must also be deposited as security. Should he violate any of its terms and conditions, this money could be lost.

Please note: It is rare that such a large amount has to be deposited.

Two other people also had to agree to pay a total of $200,000 in the event of a violation of the conditions, namely his wife and another woman very close to him.

He is no longer a director and no longer has any connection to Sutton Quebec.

On Monday, Folla's co-defendant, Alain Marc Nahmias, was also released, but on the condition that he wear an electronic ankle bracelet.
