Donald Trump thinks he looks like Elvis Presley – and has shared a photo with his face joined to that of the King of Rock as proof.
The comparison came in two posts on the ex-president's Instagram and Truth Social accounts, in which he asked more than 30 million followers what they thought of his assessment.
An accompanying photo showed the faces of the two influential figures merging into a single face, six years after Trump told a crowd in Mississippi that he had been compared favorably to the rock legend in the past.
The photoshop quickly caused an uproar online as people mocked Trump and said he looked nothing like Elvis. Others said the unusual claim revealed a worrying level of narcissism.
While bizarre, the statement wasn't the first time the not-so-humble mogul compared his looks to someone else's – with his other self-proclaimed twin (who else?) being the Mona Lisa.

This time the 77-year-old told his fans: “For so many years people have been saying that Elvis and I look alike.”
“What do you think?” he asked further, formulating his explanation in the form of a question.
As he searched for compliments, the photo of his face photogenically merged with the rocker's sparked a flood of sarcastic, off-color comments from viewers.
“This is the kind of shit post I want to see from my president,” one commenter wrote, as Trump remains a clear front-runner within the Republican Party despite the criminal cases against him.
“Elvis would vote for Trump,” another added, with a clear hint of irony emanating from both comment sections.
“Have you ever seen Trump and Elvis in the same place at the same time?” someone else joked in one of more than 20,000 comments on Instagram
“As if Trump were president again,” another wrote – while another joker posted two eerily similar, side-by-side GIFs of Trump and Bigfoot, the large, hairy, human-like mythical creature also commonly referred to as the Sasquatch.
The discourse continued on other platforms such as Truth Social as well as on a still Trump-less X – formerly known as Twitter.

However, comments on the latter were far less kind, with many choosing to mock the former commander-in-chief for the self-serving comparison.
An account titled “Republicans Against Trump,” which has more than half a million followers, appeared to suggest that the famously flippant politician suffered from narcissistic personality disorder.
“Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental illness in which people have unreasonably high self-esteem,” says the post, which echoes the Mayo Clinic’s definition of the condition rather than directly attributing it to Trump.
“They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them.”
“People with this disorder may be unable to understand or care for the feelings of others,” the not-so-veiled comment continued.
“But behind this mask of extreme self-confidence, they are unsure of their self-esteem and are easily upset by the slightest criticism.”
Other criticisms were voiced more clearly, with some taking the opportunity to question Trump's mental state.

“Donald Trump clearly has dementia,” wrote Democratic strategist Johnny Palmadessa, listing a series of blunders Trump made during the campaign.
“He kept forgetting that Barack Obama was no longer president.” He believes that Nikki Haley was Speaker of the House of Representatives instead of Nancy Pelosi.
“He says he's 'winning' his New York fraud trial, but the trial is over,” Palmadess continued, although the verdict in that case has not been made public.
He continued: '[Trump] just compared himself to Elvis because he thinks they “look similar” – [he] has to drop out of the race. He needs to seek help.'
Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the anti-Trump political action committee MediasTouch, similarly cited Trump's recent behavior, including the Elvis post, as evidence of “how delusional, cognitively impaired and downright weird Trump's campaign is.”
A much more influential Biden would express similar sentiments Saturday at an event in the president's hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.
Many of the online comments were unkind, as some chose to mock the former commander-in-chief for the self-serving comparison
Trump has already compared himself to Leonardo Da Vici's 16th-century masterpiece The Mona Lisa, while his supporters have likened him to Jesus
“It's the strangest campaign I've ever been involved in,” he told a reporter on Saturday evening, without explicitly naming Trump.
“People are starting to focus on the guy we're going against, he's – he's for nothing, he's against everything.”
'[I]“In terms of his behavior, it’s even worse than last time in 2020.”
A few years earlier, at an event in Presley's hometown of Tupelo, Trump first brought up his resemblance to Presley, who died in 1977 at age 42 after years of abusing his body with drugs and alcohol.
“I shouldn't say that, otherwise people would say I'm very conceited, because I'm not,” he said at the time, amidst lukewarm laughter.
“But aside from the blonde hair, when I grew up they said I looked like Elvis.”
Then, last year, the man whose followers had compared him to Jesus Christ compared himself to Leonardo Da Vici's 16th-century masterpiece “The Mona Lisa.”
“There are people who go to the Mona Lisa – they love the Mona Lisa and they will see it hundreds of times and every time it gets better,” he told a Welsh television station at the time.
He further claimed that his supporters do the same thing at his rallies, often showing up in full force days in advance.
In response, fellow candidate Joe Biden told viewers at an event in Delaware how his ongoing duel with the GOP front-runner was getting “weird.”
Politically, Trump has also compared himself to heroes such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Nelson Mandela, with the comparison to the latter coming amid claims that he is being unfairly prosecuted by the current administration.
Meanwhile, responders on Trump's platform Truth Social photoshopped him against unflattering figures like Hitler and an Oompa Loompa.
However, fully 60 percent of respondents said the Republican Party should keep Trump on the list even if he is convicted of a crime related to trying to overturn the 2020 election.
He also benefited from a reduced peloton after his friend and rival Ron DeSantis withdrew.
South Carolina's Nikki Haley has now emerged as his biggest threat, but Trump remains comfortably ahead in every primary poll.
