So Bilal Ilyas Jhandir trained for 13 weeks to memorize the words of his idol's entire catalog. And he broke the record by identifying 34 of the singer's songs in less than a minute.

To set the record, he was blindfolded and tasked with completing the verses on camera while two certified witnesses read excerpts from a randomly selected list of songs and a stopwatch counted down the seconds.

An intense exercise in memorization, but the difficulty wasn't where you might think, the 20-year-old told USA Today from his home in Bahawalpur, Pakistan:

“It was very difficult because you had to listen to another person read the lyrics and they mispronounced some words.”

Bilal Ilyas Jhandir shot the video of himself in September 2023 and the Cuinness Book of Records team confirmed his achievement this month.

The previous record holder was Briton Dan Simpson, who managed to identify 27 Taylor songs over the same period in 2019.

While Bilal Ilyas Jhandir, whose favorite song is “You're Losing Me,” is happy with his win, there's another thing he wants even more: to see Taylor Swift in person. “My only dream right now is to meet her,” he said. Or at least take part in one stop on the Eras tour. »

Taylor Swift shouldn't be indifferent to this request!
