The 2024 AACTA Awards kick off in Queensland next Saturday, with some of Australia's biggest stars set to perform.
For the first time, the Gold Coast has snatched the prestigious honors away from Sydney on a three-year deal.
This year's “Oscars of Australia” will take place at Surfers Paradise at the Home of the Arts (HOTA) and will be attended by famous actresses Margot Robbie and Cate Blanchett.
Margot, 33, made a low-key arrival at Brisbane International Airport last Saturday, just a week before the ceremony.
She is expected to receive the AACTA Trailblazer Award.

“Margot Robbie's impact extends beyond her on-screen appearances as she continues to shape narratives and challenge industry norms,” said the organization AACTA.
“Her commitment to empowering women in film, coupled with her talent and business acumen, solidifies Robbie as an influential figure in the entertainment world and a deserving recipient of the 2024 AACTA Trailblazer Award.”
The 13th edition of the awards ceremony will also feature an appearance by renowned American director and film producer Ron Howard.

Meanwhile, Australia's own Rebel Wilson will host Saturday's ceremony.
American singer Harry Connick Jr. will headline the Industry Awards ceremony on Thursday evening.
Also expected to attend are Australian television stars Grant Denyer, who hosts the new edition of Channel Ten's Deal Or No Deal, Rove McManus and Julia Zemiro.
