Taylor, 34, surprised fans worldwide at the Grammys on Sunday night when she announced during her acceptance speech that her 13th album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19.
But while the pop star has earned a reputation for revealing details about her love life in her albums, sources close to 32-year-old Joe say the actress would be very surprised if her latest release contained intimate information about her breakup – although They have pointed out that he believes the title is actually a direct reference to their time together.
Taylor announced the title of her new album on stage and soon after caused a “frenzy on the internet” when she revealed the cover art on her Instagram account – sparking a slew of comments from fans speculating that the album was one or more brutal could contain attacks on Joe.
Although the actor is confident that won't happen, the album's name is said to have set off alarm bells for Joe as he reportedly believes it is an “undeniable” reference to the WhatsApp group he has with his friends Friends Paul Mescal and Andrew share Scott – which calls itself The Tortured Man Club.

“Joe hasn't said a word about Taylor or their breakup and has been completely respectful towards her,” an insider told exclusively.
“It's undeniable that the name of her upcoming album is a reference to Joe's WhatsApp group chat.”
“Taylor yelled at him about that name when they were together. “She didn't want people to think it had anything to do with her, and when he talked about it, she was naturally disturbed.”
The insider continued, “Joe has no reason to believe she will denigrate him or their relationship yet.”
“She writes about her past using code and reference points.” Maybe she's just reflecting on their time together and he hopes it's nothing more.
“If it's a diss album, that's shady.” “He helped her write songs for her last album, so it will be a real shock for him if she talks about their split as he hasn't spoken about it at all has.”

Taylor announced her album news as she received the award for Best Pop Vocal Album at Sunday's ceremony.
She turned to the audience and said, “Okay, this is my 13th Grammy.” That's my lucky number. I don't know if I've ever told you that.
“I want to thank the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans.”
She continued, “I want to thank the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album is coming out on April 19th.”
“It's called The Tortured Poet's Department. “I'll go backstage right now and post the cover.”

Joe and Taylor were first romantically linked in 2016, but famously kept details of their relationship out of the spotlight.
In October 2018, Joe told British Vogue that the secrecy of their relationship was intentional.
“I'm aware that people want to know about that side of things. “I think we’ve been successful privately,” he said.
There were frequent rumors about the couple's long-term plans together. Sources told the media that Taylor thought she had found her soulmate and was hoping they would get engaged.
This speculation increased in January 2020 with the release of the Netflix documentary “Miss. Americana,” in which she was seen wearing a large diamond on her ring finger during an interview.
Many took it as a sure sign that the engagement had finally happened, and some even suggested that they had secretly tied the knot.
Three months later, Joe addressed the rumors in an interview with WSJ Magazine, saying he wouldn't confirm them even if they were true.
