At the very end of the evening, “one of the greatest voices of all time” unexpectedly appeared on stage in a large coat on the arm of her son René-Charles to present the Grammy Album of the Year to another legend, Taylor Swift.

As soon as his name was announced by host Trevor Noah, the countless stars on stage and the audience gave him a warm ovation. This affection touched the Quebec singer, who put her career on hold at the end of 2022 after being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome.

“When I say I'm happy to be here, I mean it truly and from the bottom of my heart,” she said, before addressing the artists directly.
“Those who were lucky enough to be here at the Grammys must never take for granted the immense joy and love that music brings to our lives and to people around the world.”

Ignored by Taylor Swift
Céline Dion then recalled that 27 years ago she received the same Grammy for her album Falling Into You at the hands of two legends, Diana Ross and Sting.
She then announced the triumph of Taylor Swift's “Midnights,” which won Album of the Year for the fourth time, a record in Grammy history.
Very excited, Swift, who had just sung “The Power of Love” when the Quebec superstar took the stage, ignored Céline Dion by accepting her Grammy, which drew the ire of the “My Heart Will Go We” interpreter's admirers in the social networks.
However, the two stars fraternized behind the scenes. A photo posted online a few minutes after the show ended shows them in each other's arms.
