Gok Wan shared a heartbreaking update on Tuesday as he saw his girlfriend for the last time following her terminal cancer diagnosis.
The 49-year-old TV personality uploaded a black and white photo of himself with Fanny McPhee, who is battling stage four breast cancer, and admitted his heart was “broken”.
In his first post shared on Instagram, he wrote: “Fanny's last night in London.” There aren't many words left.
“I think we said what we needed to say. Now we can just sit contentedly – that's the true beauty of friendship.”
Following another photo, Gok added: “My little heart is a little broken today.” Fanny is on her way back to OZ. “We had such a magical two months, a time we never thought we would have. We thank the universe for making this possible.”

He continued: “I know she needs to go home to be with her amazing son and family…I'll miss the laughter and reckoning with life…Have a safe trip, my face.”
The update comes after Gok joined Michelle Visage, AJ Odudu and Charlotte Church to film an upcoming celebrity special for the new Wheel of Fortune reboot at Media City in Salford in December.
The iconic game show will return with eight episodes on ITV1 and ITVX in 2024, with contestants once again battling it out for victory and two celebrity specials airing.
In June this year it was announced that Graham Norton would be hosting the new revival of Wheel of Fortune.
The 60-year-old talk show star will join Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh, John Leslie and Paul Hendry as host of the recurring game show, which originally aired from 1988 to 2001.
In a statement, he said: “I'm thrilled to be bringing such an iconic American show to a new British audience.”
“My very first TV job was a game show on ITV, so it feels like I've come full circle. “You could even call it a wheel!”
As always, the program will focus on a giant carnival wheel where participants hope to win big cash prizes.

As announced by ITV, the show is a game of skill and chance, with each spin of the famous wheel paying out a certain amount of money before the player selects a letter to solve a puzzle.
However, it is a double-edged sword as the wheel can also cause participants to “go bankrupt” or “lose a round”.
Katie Rawcliffe – head of entertainment at ITV – added: “We’re delighted that the much-loved Graham Norton is bringing this iconic game show to our viewers.”
“Anything can happen when a wheel turns, it will be so much fun.”
