Australian TikTok star Veruca Salt is fighting back against online trolls and asking terrible questions about the death of her baby boy

Veruca Salt has hit out at internet trolls who questioned how she was able to post videos on TikTok two days after the sudden death of her baby boy.

Veruca, whose real name is Kimberley Summer Hartley, announced in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Tuesday that her six-week-old son Cash had “died in his sleep” the morning before.

While the news caused immense distress among followers, it has also prompted keyboard warriors to target the grieving young mother as she tries to come to terms with the devastating loss.

The 25-year-old responded to a viewer who asked how she was able to continue filming and uploading videos to the platform after the death of her newborn.

“No hate, but I don't know how people can make TikToks right after their kids die.” “Like setting up the camera, voiceovers, editing,” the person wrote.

“I would be in bed for weeks, an absolute mess. 'REST IN PEACE.'

Veruca fired back Wednesday night.

A viewer asked how the TikTok star filmed and uploaded videos to the platform so soon after her son's death. Veruca told commentator: “You have no idea”

“Your baby isn’t dead, mine is,” Veruca replied.

“I've literally talked to my friends about it, like it doesn't take long to do something for people to say, 'I wouldn't behave like that,' from people literally imagining what it would be like,” said she.

“You have no idea, because your baby isn't dead.” Mine is, and I found him like that, and this won't happen to you.

“And if it happened to you, you would know that bed is the last place you want to be because God forbid you fucking fall asleep.

“Every time you wake up, you’re going to forget, and you’re going to go get your baby and it won’t be there.”

“And you will be in someone else’s house, in someone else’s bed, because no one will leave you alone.”

“And you won’t want to go home to your bed. You won't want to go home at all because your baby is all over the house.

“You have no idea what goes on in my head every five seconds.”

“I feel crazy.” I feel crazy. And you don't understand.'

Followers quickly jumped to Veruca's defense, assuring her that she didn't need to explain her actions.

“Everyone grieves so differently.” Please never feel like you have to explain yourself. “Don’t let anyone tell you to be strong and stop crying,” one woman wrote.

Another added: “You grieve however you have to.” Posting 1000 times a day or not at all. F whoever has a problem. “No one knows this kind of pain unless they have suffered a loss of this magnitude.”

It comes just hours after Veruca posted a video of herself sobbing, pointing into her hands with one of Cash's overalls hanging in the background.

She captioned the video, “I knew he was dead but part of me really believed they were going to wake him up.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Veruca shared a video of her smiling newborn.

She was heard saying, “Oh my God, I love you so much.” Do you know that? Do you know how much I love you?'

Cash smiled and Veruca laughed at the video, which was accompanied by a broken heart emoji.

On Sunday, Veruca revealed on TikTok that the couple were on Cash's “first trip to the hospital” because “he hasn't done anything in seven days.”

She cradled Cash in her arms as she cared for the little boy, who wore a jumpsuit with sea creatures, pelicans and lighthouses – not knowing that she would be spending her last precious hours with him.

After returning from the hospital on Sunday, Veruca assured fans in the comments of the video that Cash was “fine.”

A fan of hers wrote in a comment that her children had the same problem as little Cash “because I breastfed and it was natural.”

Veruca replied, “Yeah, that's why I'm not particularly panicked because he's actually fine, I just wanted to check.”

Hours later, her little boy died.

Her social media accounts were flooded with condolence messages after she announced Cash's death in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“It is with a heavy heart that I write this.” “My baby died in his sleep on Monday morning,” she wrote.

“I don't know what happened, he has an autopsy this week, but it's unlikely I'll ever get an answer.”

“I'm only saying this because people still comment on my TikToks and say how happy I look with him and 'just wait until the toddler stage' and stuff, and I really can't take it anymore.” I'm really sorry. '

Queensland Police said initial investigations indicated the death was not suspicious.

“At the moment it is still under investigation and we are awaiting the results of the autopsy,” Gold Coast Superintendent Craig Hanlon said.

“It is obviously a tragic situation and our condolences go out to the mother and the family.”

Police confirmed they were called to a unit in Southport at around 6.13am on Monday.
