Traitors finalist Jaz Singh revealed why he always wanted to be a traitor during an appearance on Loose Women on Wednesday.

Jaz, 30, who stayed loyal from day one and lost the £95,000 prize fund, admitted he wanted the chance to stay in control like a traitor because he “hates being lied to”.

Because of his top-notch detective skills, he was dubbed one of the best believers in the show's history – helping him figure out who the lying contestants were.

On the ITV lunchtime show, Jaz spoke about what it was like going against the group and exposing Paul Gorton – a traitor.

He said: “I felt like a rebel going against the government. He was a likeable and infectious guy, and I just thought, 'Why is this guy so confident?' And I thought, 'Wait a minute, something's wrong.'

Jaz, who remained loyal from day one and lost the £95,000 prize, admitted he wanted the opportunity to stay in control like a traitor because he “hates being lied to”.

Jaz added: “I wanted to be a traitor because I don't like being lied to either and that means you're in control of the game.”

Jaz, who credits his father-in-law for taking part in the show, said: “He said, 'Jaz, sit down and watch this show.' And then I looked at my wife and said, 'This is absolutely incredible, who has anyway.' “Thought about this show?” And then he told me to apply.'

“I was reluctant to apply when an advert appeared on my Instagram asking Mancunians to apply.

Jaz recently revealed he had passed on his bank details to winner Harry Clark after the thrilling finale.

When asked by PA what his relationship with Harry was like now, he joked: “I've still given him my bank details, I'll see what he sends me.”

Elsewhere, Jaz posed for a snap with his fiancée Harneet Kaurl, Harry and girlfriend Anna Maynard, writing on social media: “End of war and departure for new beginnings”

Jaz, nicknamed “Jazatha Christie” by viewers for his elite detective skills, managed to see through all the traitors and when it was down to just him, Harry, 23, and Mollie Pearce, 21, he tried Persuading the model to cast her vote against him – which she almost did.

In the exciting episode, fans watched Mollie in turmoil as she debated whether to vote out Jaz or Harry at the end of the game.

After writing a name on her board, she asked host Claudia Winkleman if she could change it and crossed it out with another.

The model mistakenly believed Harry was a creditor in the hope the two would share the money, but when he revealed he had been a traitor all along she stormed out of the room.

Speaking to Web about the pivotal moment, national account manager Jaz said: “When I saw Mollie write down the H I thought: Yes, we've got this.”

“Then when she changed. I felt it in my stomach. I thought I was going to get sick. “It was so tense I couldn’t even explain it.”

He added that he wasn't sure if he would even try to convince her against the British Army sergeant since the two were so close. He said: “With Mollie, I was really nervous at the end to even have that conversation with her.”

“I thought if I pushed too hard it would just shoot me in the foot.” “It's such a shame she relied on her heart rather than her head.”

Jaz – who fans also nicknamed “GOAT” (the greatest of all time) – initially kept his distance from his fellow contestants, fearing that “emotional involvement” would cloud his vision and also spoke about his disappointment about it , not to be chosen as a traitor.

He said: “My plan was to just be a traitor and then I got stung!” It was really hard, I wanted to go home on the first day.

“I had a conversation with myself and had to say to myself: 'You'll never get this chance again, hundreds of thousands applied, it took ten months!'”

“Just because I wasn't a traitor, I had to value the opportunity and believe in myself. Then when I found out about Paul, I knew I could do it.”

Jaz brought everyone to his side after he was the only believer to suspect the popular Paul as a traitor.

He saw through the crocodile tears, the false shaking and the masterful behavior control of his teammates and left a deep impression on the audience.

About that moment he said: “When I found out Paul, I broke the chair!” I screamed and turned into some kind of demon!

“Then I started believing in myself and I got along with everyone. I watched it again and couldn't believe how I got everyone to touch it. I hope it becomes a crime series because I'm ready!'
