The Chiefs, a dynasty we must cherish

LAS VEGAS | No offense to many football fans who can no longer see the Chiefs in color, they have made their dynasty status official with their third Super Bowl championship in five years and there is only one thing to say to the dissatisfied: swallow your pill!

It's strange that so many critics are suddenly complaining. They are no longer able to do this, the Chiefs, who constantly win.

They no longer have the ability to have Patrick Mahomes complain to the refs as soon as he gets hit.

They are no longer able to do this, referees who, as everyone knows, are secretly working on a grand conspiracy with the NFL, which wants to see them as champions for eternity.

They can't do it anymore as the media attention is focused on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship.

In short, they can't take it anymore and yet it's nice to see what's happening with the Chiefs. But in general, people always have problems with winners in the end. It is common knowledge that it is annoying when someone or a team wins.

In today's society you have to quickly move on to a new flavor, to the next fashionable gadget. When something is there to stay, it is disturbing.

The Chiefs are not short-lived, they are on solid foundations and will continue to cause disruption. Three conquests in a row? Why not !

Sensitive fans

Patriots fans are among those who should be worried. They often argue very loudly that there is only one Tom Brady and that their dynasty is the greatest the universe has ever seen. This Mahomes will probably never be Brady.

If this was all true, what the hell? Go ahead, live in the present! Why does that stop you from enjoying what the Chiefs do? They will not steal your laurels. They waited 50 years before winning their second Super Bowl after their coronation in 1969, and most holy day, it was all supposed to stop.

I'm one of those people who admires great champions who stand out, and the Chiefs have clearly become one. They've been putting on an excellent show for several years, but should we really turn our noses up?

What Patrick Mahomes is doing is extraordinary. At 28 years old, he will soon be polishing his third ring. Which is what Andy Reid did by cementing his place in the Hall of Fame.

As for Kelce and Ms. Swift, I've already told you that it annoys me a little too, but deep down I find it hard to complain considering the immense visibility his presence has brought this season has. The NFL is clearly the winner.

The defense has its place

A final word on the work of the Chiefs defense, which has done a really good job all season, even against the powerful 49ers machine. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is a genius in big moments.

The Chiefs become the first team ever to win the Super Bowl despite averaging fewer than 22 points per game and more than 17 points per game.

Only three teams have even reached the Super Bowl. They became the championship team with the second-lowest points average in the last 20 years. Shows that even this run-of-the-mill version of the Chiefs can win it all by the standards they have established over the last few years. Its scary!

Why bring all this up? Because it's no longer just the team of Mahomes and his little miracles. It's also a defense built with plenty of young players thanks to several smart draft picks.

But people probably don't want to read or hear that either.
