This tourist named Niko Honarbakhsh was innocently watching the sunset at the beach bar with her dogs when she was disturbed by an unexpected gang fight.

She was about to get up and pay when she was caught in the crossfire.

The 44-year-old Los Angeles woman was hit by a projectile during the event in front of horrified vacationers.

Authorities in Quintana Roo made it clear that she had no connection to the drug trade.

According to the Chron, witnesses at Mia Beach Club said she looked “so happy” with her pets “relaxing on the sand” all day.

A couple sitting behind her said that everything happened very quickly and they had no time to react: at first they thought the shots were fireworks.
