Despite winning the Gray Cup last fall, the Montreal Alouettes are not the favorites for next season, no doubt to the great dismay of Marc-Antoine Dequoy.
The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced the odds from online betting site FanDuel Canada on Monday, on the eve of the opening of the free agent market.

We therefore find that the Sparrows (+650) are the third favorite, tied with the British Columbia Lions. At the top of this list are the Toronto Argonauts (+230) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+290), who beat Jason Maas' men back-to-back to secure the trophy.
Remember that before last season, the Alouettes were placed ninth and last by bookmakers. After the final victory, the very popular Dequoy recalled in a now famous interview that “no one believed in us.”
If the logic of 2023 is respected, the much-neglected Ottawa Rouge et Noir (+1900) could provide the next surprise.
