This screening, which will take place at the Scotiabank Cinema downtown, will allow the Quebec filmmaker to introduce his new work to Montreal audiences in his city as a Canadian premiere two days before the feature's theatrical release. The filmmaker and actor will walk the red carpet before the event.

This will be the only Canadian stop on the film's massive promotional tour, which has been underway for several weeks. The Warner Bros. studio will announce details on purchasing tickets soon on its social networks.

In the midst of a promotional tour, Denis Villeneuve and the stars of Dune: Part II caused a stir in Mexico last week when 12,000 fans showed up to watch their red carpet parade. They are in Paris this Monday and will stop in London later this week.

Dune: Part II, one of the most anticipated Hollywood films of the year, will hit theaters in Quebec on March 1. The feature film was originally scheduled to hit theaters in November last year, but was pushed back to March 1 due to strikes in Hollywood.

The first part of the saga based on Frank Herbert's science fiction novel, released in fall 2021, grossed more than $400 million at the box office worldwide and also won six Oscars.
