One person was killed and five injured in a shooting on the platform of a New York City subway station during rush hour late Monday afternoon.
For a reason unknown at the beginning of the evening, an argument between several people led to the shooting, which occurred on the platform of Mount Eden subway station in the Bronx around 4:30 p.m.
Police sources told local media that one of those shot died of his injuries upon arrival at the hospital.
The five other injured people did not appear to be in mortal danger, but the severity of their injuries was not immediately clear.
The suspect fled after the shooting and no arrests had been announced as of early evening.
