Prince Harry is seen arriving for the Invictus Games for the first time after traveling to an event in Canada on a private jet

Prince Harry was spotted with Meghan Markle for the first time since arriving in Canada as they attended countdown events ahead of the next Invictus Games.

The couple – who had launched their website Sussex.com just 24 hours earlier – arrived in Vancouver by private jet to begin a three-day visit in conjunction with the 2025 event.

Harry was pictured on the ground at Vancouver International Airport wearing a green coat and blue jeans after arriving on the Bombardier Challenger 605 yesterday.

The Sussexes are taking part in the Vancouver Whistler 2025 One Year to Go event from today until Friday, where Harry will reflect on how special Canada is to both of them.

Her arrival came on the same day Meghan announced she had signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media after she and Harry parted ways with Spotify.

Exclusive photos showed Harry landing in the City of Glass after a two-hour flight from Santa Barbara – the closest airport to their £12million home in Montecito.

The plane left Santa Barbara at 9:30am local time (5:30pm UK time) yesterday before arriving in Vancouver at 12:04pm local time (8:04pm UK time) and stayed there for 39 minutes.

The jet – whose owner is unknown – then took off again at 12:43pm local time (8:43pm UK) to Victoria on Vancouver Island, where it landed at 1:01pm local time (9:01pm UK). The jump to the island took about 15 minutes and covered a distance of 34 nautical miles.

Meghan, 42, and Harry, 39, lived in a mansion called Mille Fleurs on Vancouver Island in the town of North Saanich immediately after Megxit in January 2020, before moving to California following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Their current visit comes after the Duke and Duchess were embroiled in a series of controversies, which included the launch of their new website. Sources said the couple did not consult palace officials about the use of their Sussex titles.

Another referred to Harry's flying visit to London last week to visit King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.

Once there, he was taken to Clarence House for a meeting with his cancer-stricken father, which lasted only 30 minutes and was not attended by his stepmother, Queen Camilla.

The 39-year-old then stayed overnight at a hotel before catching a Delta flight back to LA about 24 hours after his arrival.

Last week it was claimed that Harry would have “happy to accept” a reunion with his brother William but instead opted to stay at his hotel.

William, 41, is understood to be continuing to focus on caring for his wife Kate as she recovers from abdominal surgery and is taking an extended break from public duties until after Easter

Harry next appeared in Las Vegas on Friday, where he served as a presenter at the NFL Honors Awards – a televised gala held at the massive Resorts World Hotel in Sin City.

When presenting the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to Cameron Heyward of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he made a joke about rugby and told the crowd, “I really love how you stole rugby from us and made it your own. “

“Instead of passing it backwards, just pass it forwards.” Why not wear pads and helmets? Naturally.

“Having an offense and a defense – that makes sense.” Why not take a breather every 15 seconds? And you know what? Instead of a 10-month season, we're making it 18 weeks. Genius.'

Despite his chipper demeanor on stage, Harry was later pictured dejected in the hotel's underground car park and didn't stick around to watch the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.

On Monday, the couple's redesigned website debuted with Harry's 358-word biography, highlighting his environmental credentials – despite his penchant for using private jets.

Meghan's longer biography highlighted her reputation as a philanthropist, but only mentioned her acting past once, not the royal family.

Critics said the website was an attempt to monetize the couple's royal connections, prompting a new round of calls for the duo's titles to be removed, including from Meghan's biographer Tom Bower.

One said: “You will have real problems with the use of Sussex.” It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialization it will be abolished. “It’s just mind-boggling that they can’t see how awkward this is.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reported that the couple did not consult with palace officials before launching the new website.

The Sun newspaper also said that Harry faced claims that the coat of arms used was outdated after he became the monarch's son last year.

The redesigned Sussex.com also made much of Harry's Invictus Games initiative, which returns next year with a snow sports edition in Whistler.

The Sussexes' three-day trip is to promote the Winter Games as they meet competitors from the United States, Canada, France, Ukraine and Nigeria, among others, at a training camp at the resort.

The trip includes two days of meeting participants in the Whistler ski resort and another engagement in Vancouver on Friday.

Since officially leaving the royal family and moving to California in 2020, the Duke and Duchess have pursued various avenues to generate income.

This includes Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare, which he wrote as part of a $20 million deal with Penguin Books.

The couple also teamed up with Netflix to produce the documentary series Harry and Meghan. The streaming giant reportedly paid the couple $100 million for the six-episode series.
