The city of Barra do Piraí (RJ) canceled the amount that was supposed to be paid to the singer Lexa for a show in the city. According to Mayor Mario Esteves, the artist did not abide by the agreement and delivered an incomplete performance that lasted about 40 minutes. In an official statement, the town hall said it would ask the artist's team for explanations about the incident. On social media, residents shared videos commenting on the incident and questioning the amount of R$120,000 charged by the artist. Responding to comments on Instagram, Mario Esteves stated that the payment was made by check, which stopped shortly after the presentation. In addition to the statements, Mario also published a rejection and apologized to the population. On her Instagram, Lexa shared with her fans that the event was running more than 50 minutes late.
