For a few hours this Thursday evening, Vigo was the capital of the fiercest right wing. Galicia's first city has the socialist mayor with the most votes among all Spaniards – Abel Caballero -, the president of the Community of Madrid, the popular Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal. The penultimate day of the Galician election campaign illustrated the different duel that the PP is waging in its fight to maintain an absolute majority in this final phase. His great opponent is on the left, but the confusion sown after Alberto Núñez Feijóo's team's confession about his contacts with the Catalan independence movement threatens to open up another flank for him on the right.
According to Ayuso, in these elections Galicia is threatened by “the project to dismember Spain organized from La Moncloa”. He defined the BNG “cocktail” as “grassroots communism to appropriate the property and labor of others because they love to live off others; with a dose of terror to incite fear and win easily; well-seasoned with nationalism to build false identities and decide who is a good and a bad Galician; and a few drops of socialism to distribute poverty and moral superiority.

He posted a photo of Vázquez talking in Congress with Vice President Yolanda Díaz and EH-Bildu MP Jon Iñarritu with the following text: “Their way of fighting separatism and the left leaves much to be desired.”

Vox was encouraged by the PP's own revelations about Feijó's attempts to gain any support from Junts for his inauguration.
