War in Ukraine: After the loss of the city of Avdiivka, Zelensky calls on the US Congress to make a “wise decision”.

The Ukrainian president is stepping up his meetings, this Saturday he was with a delegation of Republican and Democratic members of the US House of Representatives.

US President Joe Biden called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday to reiterate US support for Ukraine's fight against Russian invasion, a White House statement said.

For his part, Volodymyr Zelensly expressed the hope that the American Congress will make the “wise decision” to approve an aid package for his country worth tens of billions of dollars.

“We discussed the current situation at the front. I am grateful to have the full support of President Biden,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on the X network, formerly Twitter. “I also believe that the US Congress will make a wise decision.” Important US military aid to Kiev has been delayed for months by political disputes in the US Congress.
