247 Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said the country will not normalize relations with Israel or help rebuild the Gaza Strip without establishing a Palestinian state.
“The priority now must be to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. “We are convinced that the only way to stabilize the region lies in the creation of a Palestinian state,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“We make it clear to Americans and others that addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a priority,” the ministry added, reiterating that the focus is on the ceasefire and the arrival of aid in Gaza.
“We have indicated from the outset that an allout response from Israel would inflame emotions. We must understand that we are not just dealing with a moral issue, but with an issue that relates to the security of the entire region,” he concluded.
