The twelfth episode of “XXI Secolo”, which will be broadcast on Monday, February 19th at 11:30 p.m., focuses on current topics.
The program, moderated by Francesco Giorgino, looks in the first part at the reasons that brought Italian farmers to the streets, but also at the challenges facing the world of agriculture and how the supply chain works. Personal interviews, data and reports from the world of Italian agriculture with the demonstrations of the last few days and the tractor protest to answer questions such as: What weight does this sector have in the Italian production system and what is the share of agriculture? has managed to change through technological innovation too? And again: How can agricultural development, environmental protection and Europe's green policy be reconciled? Topics to which Francesco Giorgino's editorial is dedicated. Guests in the studio are Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, and Dominga Cotarella, successful entrepreneur in the food and wine sector and President of Terranostra.
In the second part there is space for the analysis of the war in Ukraine a few days after the second anniversary of the conflict, which was triggered by the Russian invasion and the death in prison of the anti-Putin dissident Alexei Navalny. The 21st century cameras will follow the bipartisan demonstration in Capitol Square called to express solidarity with the family of the Russian dissident. On the eve of the two years of war, XXI Secolo returned to Ukraine for a report: from the first dramatic clash in the small town of Borodyanka, north of Kiev, to life in the Ukrainian capital, which is struggling to return to normality, to witness statements from Representatives of Kiev institutions and the musical group Kalush. Francesco Giorgino will talk about it in the studio with Ukrainian journalist Nataliya Kudryk and military and geopolitical strategy analyst Arduino Paniccia.
The guest in the third and final part is TV presenter Claudio Lippi, who returns after a long break to tell his story on television.
