Teca (Lívia Silva) is a girl trying to survive on the streets of Rio de Janeiro in Renascer. She falls into despair when she finds out that she is pregnant with Du (José Duboc), but decides to have the child despite her precarious situation. Her life will change completely when she meets Buba (Gabriela Medeiros), who welcomes her into her home but with ulterior motives.
In Monday's episode (19) of Globo's nine o'clock soap opera, the young woman appears to be worried about her boyfriend who allegedly got into a fight while stealing from a market.
The boy will also surprise the girl by taking her to a secret abortion clinic. When the nurse calls for Teresa Cristina, the young lady becomes cold, gives up the abortion and flees the scene.
She will be missing for some time and will argue with Du when she meets him again. “I said I would fix this problem, didn’t I? “We have to put an end to this before it’s too late,” he will complain.
“Are you crazy that I go back there?” the girl will reply. “It will be a lot of nonsense trying to get the money back. There is no way to move forward with this mess,” he will insist. “I’m not going back to that butcher shop!” says Teca.
Although upset, the young man will ultimately accept his girlfriend's decision to have the child. But shortly afterwards, Neno (Gabriel Lima da Silva) and Pitoco (Juan Queiroz) will warn that you have been caught by the police.
Teca will try to look for her friend but will be involved in an accident in this Thursday's episode (22). The girl is run over by Buba and José Venâncio (Rodrigo Simas), but refuses to be taken to the hospital despite the couple's insistence. The psychologist will decide to take the stranger home and treat her injuries.
Obsessed with the idea of fulfilling José Inocêncio's (Marcos Palmeira) wish and giving the farmer a grandson, Buba considers adopting Teca's baby but the publicist immediately rejects the idea.
Venâncio will beg his lover to send the pregnant woman away as soon as possible, but she will give in and say that she will host Teca at home until the child is born.

Palomma Duarte in a scene from Renascer
Actress who played Teca in the first version of Renascer
Palomma Duarte was responsible for the role of the street girl in the soap opera shown in 1993. However, in the first version of the story, Buba (Maria Luísa Mendonça) met the young woman in a shelter for pregnant women in financial difficulties.
With the intention of giving José Venâncio (Taumaturgo Ferreira) a child, Buba took the youngest one home with the intention of keeping her baby. At the time, this posture was seen as the figure's madness.
In the remake, the psychologist's objective is toned down by actually making a connection with the pregnant woman. In addition, the meeting between the two in a traffic accident will be another “work of fate”.
Renascer was written and created by author Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The first version was broadcast on Globo in 1993. Bruno Luperi is the writer's grandson and is responsible for the adaptation of the rural saga, which premiered in prime time in January. The remake is set to be replaced by a new storyline by João Emanuel Carneiro in September.
