The X account of Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, was briefly blocked on Tuesday morning.

The following message appeared on the @Yulia_Navalnaya page:

“Blocked account. X will suspend accounts that violate this X-Rules.” However, about 30 minutes later, Navalnaya’s account was restored, seemingly without explanation. Later in the day, the security team said it would come to light and update its defense system. While it was suspended, Alexey Navalny's foundation, the Anti-Corruption Foundation, reached out to X, tagging the platform's owner Elon Musk and asking: “Please explain exactly which rules were broken.” @yulia_navalnaya.” The report was online on Tuesday morning when Navalnaya responded to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov said her comments blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for Navalny's death were “rude” and “completely unfounded,” to which Navalnaya responded:

“I don't care how the murderer's press spokesman comments on my words. Return Alexey's body and let him be buried with dignity. Don’t stop people from saying goodbye to him,” she posted on X.

CNN has reached out to her team for comment.

This post has been updated with the restoration of Navalnaya's account and comment from X's security team.
