Many artists have paid tribute following the death of renowned Montreal photographer Félix Renaud, who died suddenly of cardiac arrest at the age of 36.
Since the sad news was announced, many stars have covered their social networks with photos of the young photographer.
A big emptiness
Félix Renaud worked with the Productions Déferlantes team on various projects. We owe him the photos from the new season of the show “Get Me Out of Here”.
“He was a very sweet guy, very creative, of immense talent and infinite kindness. It was unanimous. This really affected a lot of people in our team at Déferlantes,” reveals Jean-Philippe Dion to the Journal.
“He always came up with a super creative direction, he had a unique style, he loved directing and developing concepts. There weren't many like him, this departure leaves a big void,” adds the host.

A creator and a loved one
“Your heart was huge and everyone who crossed your path loved you immediately,” wrote the comedian Patrick Groulx, who worked with Félix Renaud for a long time.

“We are all shocked by your departure. “Your big heart may have stopped, but you will continue to beat through the hearts of all those you have touched with your kindness, your goodness and your great artistic creations,” said comedian Guillaume Pineault on Instagram.

The singer Sarahmée was able to count on the photographer's talent when designing her album covers. “I'm at a loss for words, you left quickly and without warning. I wish you a nice trip there. Thank you for sharing your artistic talent with us and doing good in this world,” she said.
“RIP Felix Renaud. “A great photographer with whom I had the privilege to work,” emphasized actor Hubert Proulx.
“Your crazy talent and extraordinary personality are a great sadness for the artistic community,” wrote actress Ingrid Falaise, unveiling several works by Félix Renaud in which she appears.

“You saved my life”
Comedian and photographer Alexandre Champagne also took to social media to pay tribute to his great and precious friend.
“We had known each other for years, but it wasn't until July that we really developed a connection through the hardships and fatherhood. You saved my life, I thanked you for it in every conversation, but as always you refused to take credit,” he wrote.
A solidarity channel has been created on the Go Fund Me platform to help the photographer's family get through this difficult ordeal. He was the husband of Manuela Gomez and the father of Pablo and Luna. Several artists participated and within a few days $22,628 was raised.
