A takeover called Landeskog for the Avalanche in the playoffs

A “takeover” called Landeskog for the Avalanche in the playoffs?

Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog remains hopeful of a return to competition in 2024 and his team can certainly count on him during the most important time of the year.

The Swede began skating again in January and is trying to adequately recover from knee operations that have sidelined him since the Avs captured the Stanley Cup in the spring of 2022. However, according to journalist Pierre LeBrun, the veteran's progress seems unlikely to be happening at a good pace. Even if the main player doesn't play in 2023-2024, we have to expect that he will do everything to thwart the predictions.

“He's certainly not close to playing, but opposing clubs have noticed him skating regularly in Denver. After major knee surgery last May, he is working hard. It is a long-term process, the ice hockey expert commented to the TSN network. His return isn't out of the question, but I would say Landeskog won't return. The Avalanche will do the right thing with him and make a long-term investment in him. However, we need to keep this in mind as Colorado looks to improve its roster.”
