While in 2022 Émile Bilodeau refused to attend a festival that did not have a female headlining artist, this summer, in July, he will be at…a festival that will not have a female headlining artist. 'Poster.

Do you remember the “Bilodeau affair” in 2022?
Singer Émile Bilodeau announced that he was canceling his performance at the Festi-Plage de Gaspésie because of the “100% male” program.
He made the announcement on March 8, writing on Instagram: “Besides, there have been too many femicides in the last few months not to shed light on injustices like this.” Um, I still don't understand the connection to femicides, but hey…
For this small festival in Gaspésie, a twelve-hour drive from Montreal, carried at arm's length by a dozen volunteers, it was a blow in the back, a flood of negative publicity.
Monsieur-I-have-principles-me-Bilodeau had multiplied the moralizing declarations: “How do you think the young girls who will take part in the Festi plague will perceive my industry?” Oh, it seems cool, making a living from music… it's a shame it's only for men.

This year, however, Mr. I-defend-the-rights-of-women-Bilodeau will be at the “Festival St-Marc pardu dans le bois”, which takes place on July 12th, 13th and 14th in Colombier Côte-Nord.
Monsieur-I-am-better-than-the-others-Bilodeau is indeed a man, I hope I don't promise him anything wrong.
Besides him we will be able to hear:
-Jérôme 50 (a man);
-The alley dogs (five boys);
-The Mass for Dédé Fortin (a man paying homage to a man);
-Les Shimmeux, a group from Baie-Comeau consisting of eight boys;
-La Patente, a group of four guys.
A music industry observer wrote to me: “This confirms what many in the industry said at the time… that Émile Bilodeau is an opportunist just to get people talking about him!” He is headlining an all-male festival, which shows that Shoes don’t necessarily meet the requirements…”
