Almost 600 fans and guests will first have the opportunity to discover the second part of “Dune” on Wednesday at the Cineplex Odéon Banque Scotia, in the presence of Villeneuve himself, but also the film's main actor, Timothée Chalamet.

Villeneuve and Chalamet will walk the red carpet with producer Tanya Lapointe and artistic director Patrice Vermette before the two screenings at 7 p.m. in the downtown cinema complex's IMAX and AVX theaters.

This will be the only Canadian stop on the Dune: Part II promotional tour. We can bet that it was Denis Villeneuve who demanded that the film's Canadian premiere be held in his city of Montreal.

Recall that the promotional tour for Dune: Part II began on February 6 in Mexico and then made stops in Paris, London, Seoul and New York. On every red carpet, stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Rebecca Ferguson impressed with their daring and spectacular outfits.

“Dune: Part Two” hits theaters Thursday night.
