Georgetown.- Leaders of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) will conclude their 46th conference in Guyana today, after three days of intensive debates on the key problems in the region to outline strategies to overcome them.

In addition to the heads of government of the region, representatives from countries from Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America took part in this conclave in order to expand contacts with the people of the Caribbean and explore the potential for cooperation.

The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will be present on the closing day this Wednesday and will also hold working meetings with his Guyanese counterpart, Irfaan Ali, and Suriname counterpart, Chan Santokhi, to discuss issues of bilateral and trilateral interest .

This meeting will end with a press conference in the late afternoon and the group leaders are expected to present the results and the consensus reached.

The 46th Caricom Heads of Government Conference was extended from Sunday and focused on deepening regional integration and better promoting the interests of Caribbean people internationally.

This space sets the group's political guidelines, concludes interest agreements and establishes relationships with other international organizations and countries around the world.
