The bride is splashed with RED PAINT as she walks down the aisle – amid claims her groom's “distraught” mother arranged an attack… before later trying to steal her son's passport to ruin his honeymoon

A couple's wedding was ruined after the groom's mother hired someone to splatter red paint all over the bride-to-be's white dress.

Alexandra was set to tie the knot with her boyfriend, whose name has not yet been revealed, during a fairytale wedding ceremony.

According to a Reddit post, Alexandra's fiancé comes from an extremely wealthy family and his mother always expected him to continue her lavish traditions and marry someone rich.

However, when he fell in love with Alexandra – who did not come from wealth – his family believed she only wanted him for his money and decided to take matters into their own hands by allegedly sabotaging her special day.

The post, headlined “Mother-in-law hires someone to throw red paint on wedding dress,” claimed that Alexandra was an absolute “sweetheart” but due to her lack of money, her lover's family – especially her mother, who went from Maupe – was determined to ruin her love life.

According to the post, her boyfriend's family tried to bribe Alexandra to leave him before the couple walked down the aisle, even offering her a blank check so she could run away and never look back.

The post said: “This poor girl (I don't know her, but she's from my mother's hometown and the word has spread) has been hated by her mother-in-law, as well as her sister-in-law and brother-in-law,” from the start.

“They repeatedly threatened her, created several SM accounts to harass her, and when confronted by the husband, they denied everything.” “The brother-in-law offered her a blank check to leave her husband and the family permanently .”

However, Alexandra was determined to prove that she was not a “gold digger” and stayed with her partner.

But when the lovebirds announced their engagement, her future husband's family were reportedly furious and wanted to put an end to the special day.

Soon Maupe was allegedly faking a heart attack to prevent her wedding.

The Reddit post claimed that Maupe blamed the couple for her illnesses and demanded that they “pay all of her medical expenses.”

But that wasn't the end of the family feud.

According to the post, the mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law refused to attend the wedding but went a step further and hired someone to throw red paint on Alexandra.

However, when that didn't work and the couple went through with the wedding, Maupe reportedly went to extremes to get her son away from Alexandra.

Maupe “hired someone to throw red paint on the bride's dress just before she walked down the aisle,” the post said, and Alexandra was splattered with red paint as she walked down the aisle.

The post said: “On the day of the wedding, the mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law all refused to attend, which is fair enough, but apparently they hired someone to throw red paint on the bride's dress, just before she goes to the altar.

“Three men ran towards her, two with paint cans and another shot, and covered her dress in red.” The photos show the aftermath. At first the guests thought the red color might be blood. I can't even imagine what that must have felt like.

“The bride said that at first she felt like it was water, but then she saw everyone's shocked faces and her friends tried to reassure her that she still looked beautiful.” She says the worst part was, in “Looking at her mother’s face because she initially thought she had been physically hurt.”

Despite being covered in red paint, the bride tried to stay in good spirits and went home, changing into another dress before returning to finish the ceremony, according to the post.

However, the chaos didn't end there. According to the Reddit post, the groom's family even allegedly called the police on the couple, claiming that they found drugs at the wedding

However, the chaos didn't end there. The groom's family reportedly even called the police on the couple, claiming they could have found drugs at the wedding.

The post said: “The groom's family also found out where the photos would be taken and sent an anonymous tip to the police that they could find drugs there and that the groom might be in possession of these drugs.”

“The police arrived and all guests present were searched.” The groom was about to be led away in handcuffs. There is a suspicion that the brother-in-law bribed the police, but luckily that didn't happen in the end. After that, the wedding went off without any problems.

“The mother-in-law’s house has now been invaded with eggs. She is hated by the whole town. The sister-in-law and brother-in-law were questioned by their friends and denied everything, but did not deny that they were happy to hear about it.

“The father-in-law just seems to do what his wife says.” He fired the groom from the family business, but then got a job from his uncles, who love and support him. “The groom’s family all claim to be super religious.”

And when the groom's mother's plans still didn't pan out, she reportedly went one step further.

According to the Reddit post, she even tried to “steal” her son's “passport and visa.”

“Eventually, after the wedding and before the honeymoon, the groom’s family stole his passport and visa. They also tried to bribe the travel agent to ruin the trip, the post said.

Luckily, Alexandra and the groom didn't let the chaos get to them and continued their honeymoon after tying the knot.

At the end of the post it said: “Luckily they didn't work and the bride and groom were able to have a successful honeymoon.”

People flooded the comments section criticizing the mother-in-law, who was accused of trying to ruin her son's special day.

One person said: “The poor bride and groom.” I hope they take this seriously and move or get shelter. “It appears as if the behavior of the groom’s family is escalating and the next attacks may involve even more violence.”

Another user added: “I'm pretty blown away that they haven't filed for a restraining order at this point. 'How much more are these poor people going to have to deal with?'

Someone else said: “Wow!” This poor couple needs to move! Far far away!'

“This is sociopathic behavior.” “That poor woman,” another user commented.
