Fatherhood has marked a before and after in Bradley Cooper's life. In a recent interview on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, moderated by Dax ShepardThe well-known actor, director and producer shared his personal thoughts on how fatherhood has given him meaning in his life. The actor of films like A Star is Born and What Happened Yesterday? He also revealed that he initially had doubts about his ability to love his newborn unconditionally, but gradually the love grew within him.
“I don’t even know if I really love that girl.”, Bradley admitted that the first two months of the little girl's life gave him pause. “It's wonderful. It's great. “I see how this is developing (…) Suddenly it's like there's no doubt.”

Cooper also spoke openly about his past struggles with addiction, acknowledging his good fortune in overcoming them and approaching two decades of sobriety, made easier to achieve thanks to his daughter, as he assured that it had become a motivation to stay clean and didn't hurt the little girl.
During a talk at the Producers Guild of America Awards, Cooper discussed the challenges of his latest film, Maestro. He mocked himself, saying the worst thing about the entire project was the “fucking director,” a job Bradley held in addition to his role as the film's producer and star.
“I had crazy demands“It's about shooting in 35 millimeters in black and white and with a 1:3:3 aspect ratio and shooting half the film in black and white and shooting it live and having the desire to be on location,” shared Cooper tells the audience.

Apparently everyone involved in the film “They went crazy” with Cooper's mandates, including his castmates Carey Mulligan, Sarah Silverman, Matt Bomer and Maya Hawke. However, the director was very satisfied with the team's work.
This isn't the first time Bradley Cooper has spoken out about his controversial methods when directing a film. In a conversation with “Variety” in November 2023, he assured that there were never chairs on his sets because, as he assures, they drained everyone's energy during filming.
“There are no chairs on the sets. “I've always hated chairs and I feel like once you sit in the chair your energy goes away.”
Maestro will hit U.S. theaters in September 2023 and is nominated for six Oscar categories, including: Best Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Actress and Leading Actor.
