Mark your calendar for March 20th. The official arrival of spring? Better yet: the unveiling of the summer festival program.
The organization made the announcement in a short video posted online Wednesday morning. The identities of the stars of FEQ 2024 will be announced at noon.
We also learned that the pre-sale reserved for Desjardins members will take place the day before and will also take place from noon.
As is customary, FEQ did not announce any headliners before the start of its program.
Rising prices
In addition, the prices of passes will increase. The 125,000 general admission tickets range from $140 to $150, with the exception of the 20,000 Desjardins exclusive tickets, which retail for $138.
In the Gold Zone, tickets for the 11 days will be available for $970 or $1,410 depending on the option selected, up from $920 or $1,345 in 2023.
Similar increases can be seen in all sections: “Money,” “Signature,” and “The Garden.”
Mötley Crüe in the Plains?
Pay, sure, but to see who? Three weeks before the schedule is announced, there is hardly any truly credible information circulating. The group Mötley Crüe's long-confirmed presence at the Ottawa Bluesfest in July makes them the only real serious contender to secure one of the 11 dates on the Plains of Abraham.
According to sources whispered to the Journal, The Offspring will return to FEQ five years after attending the wrap party with Blink-182. The name Rise Against is also circulating with regard to a punk rock double.
In addition, further clues will emerge on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. when Bluesfest, with which FEQ traditionally shares some headliners, presents its 2024 program.
