Drea de Matto saved her home from foreclosure with money from OnlyFans

“The Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo recently told DailyMail.com that she saved her home from foreclosure thanks to the help of OnlyFans, which she turned to last year after her acting career stalled. In August, she opened an account that fans could subscribe to for $15 a month.

“It saved us,” de Matteo said. “OnlyFans saved my life 100 percent. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it really saved us. Anyone who wants to judge and belittle me will do so. I just hope you never find yourself in the situation I was in, having to take care of two small children. It saved my home for many years, which was very important to us. And on top of that, it gave me enough money to start and fund Ultrafree.”

Ultrafree is a streetwear brand that de Matteo founded and owns. She said that before opening her OnlyFans account, she only had about $10 in her bank account. That number might surprise fans, considering de Matteo is an Emmy-winning actress and a veteran of “The Sopranos,” one of the most acclaimed and beloved television series of all time.

“They put me in foreclosure and my house was flooded, so I tried to sell the house quickly. I wanted to try to sell it before they took it,” de Matteo continued. “At the same time, I lost my mother and my other mother, who suffers from dementia, lacked the money to pay for her carer. I didn’t know which way was up.”

She said that within “five minutes” of opening her OnlyFans account, she made enough money to “pay back Compass Real Estate, who secured the sale of my house.”

“I did it, but I didn't want to do it,” she admitted of joining OnlyFans. “I got a lot of heat for it.”

Speaking to Fox News Digital last year, de Matteo explained that the move to OnlyFans was due to her losing work as an actress in recent years due to her stance against COVID vaccination mandates.

“I know some people have said nasty things about me signing up for OnlyFans,” de Matteo said at the time. “I was like, 'Okay, everyone wears underwear and is sexy on Instagram, and I don't do that, but I can do that and get paid for it'… I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner.”

According to de Matteo, her beliefs against COVID vaccination mandates have forced her to “change careers and figure out new things because my own industry thinks I'm a savage.” She added: “I guess you could say I was a bad girl for not following the rules a few years ago.”

De Matteo said her views led to her agent dropping her.

“People can't believe that I never really got paid much money for any of my jobs,” de Matteo said. “People think I’m made of gold, and that’s not true. I worked from job to job. And I’ve turned down countless jobs in the past just to be with my kids because their dad is away and not around as much.”

“I just don’t care. I don't. I would rather save my family than save face,” she added, noting that her daughters gave her their blessing to open an OnlyFans account.
