Football England v Chelsea: Abramovich receives colossal offer from Ghana

Chelsea buyout offers pile up on Roman Abramovich’s desk. We have already exceeded ten proposals, the latest of which exceeds two billion euros from Ghana.

At the moment, Roman Abramovich is the most sought-after man in the world of football. For two weeks now, the Russian billionaire has been in the spotlight. The conflict in Ukraine and his closeness to Vladimir Putin forced him to leave his club Chelsea. Nearly twenty years of leadership have made the Blues one of the biggest teams in Europe. Above all, Chelsea FC has become a strong brand and therefore a company that evokes all desires. If Roman Abramovich could fear discounts after his hasty sale, then the reality for him was quite different.

Ghanaian Andy Owusu offers 2.8 billion euros

He has received more than a dozen buyout offers for his London club since it was sold on 2 March. Among them, the most serious comes from a consortium led by American businessman Todd Boly and Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, according to British media. But the amount of the offer, which is considered specific, was not disclosed. Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak is also running in the elections. However, another candidate revealed his game to him.

Ghanaian businessman Andy Owusu said he wanted to buy the club for 2.8 billion euros. Thus, he sent a letter directly to Roman Abramovich, which he made public. “My official offer is 3.1 billion dollars (2.8 billion euros),” he said. However, even if the offer seems very important, it may not be enough because Roman Abramovich will demand £3bn or €3.6bn, according to Sky Sports. A battle for the top that promises a lot, but which Blues supporters hope will end as soon as possible.
