Thomas Kingston, husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor, died at his parents' £3million country estate in Gloucestershire, Web has learned.
Paramedics were called to the large single-family home around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Police also monitored the property where the 45-year-old former hostage taker and financier's parents Martin and Jill Kingston have lived since 1996.
A spokesman for Gloucester Ambulance Service said they attended a private residence.
The spokesman said: “Gloucester Police have confirmed that a Gloucester Ambulance Service ambulance attended a private residence.”

Martin Kingston KC is a well-known planning lawyer, while his wife is a trustee of the Nadezhda Charitable Trust.
The 71-year-old was intensively involved in Ukraine work and also led conferences for women in Ethiopia.
Mr Kingston, 74, was elected to the National Synod in 2016.
Buckingham Palace said it was supporting Mr Kingston's distraught family even though the couple are not working members of the royal family, a testament to how popular Lady Gabriella, often called just “Ella”, is in the highest royal circles .
Mr Kingston married Lady Gabriella, 42, in 2019 in a ceremony attended by the late Queen and Prince Philip, as well as a number of other senior royals.
In a statement released yesterday, a spokesman for Their Majesties said: “The King and Queen have been informed of Thomas' death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all who knew him in mourning the loss of a beloved member of the family.”
“In particular, Their Majesties send their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and the entire Kingston family.”

Last summer, Lady Gabriella, a writer, and Mr Kingston, who was stationed in Iraq during his previous Foreign Office career, were pictured enjoying the company of the King, her second cousin and Queen Camilla at Royal Ascot.
In happier times, the two couples were seen laughing and joking as they cheered on their respective horses at the event – with Lady Gabriella's relaxed, chatty nature, which has long endeared her to senior royals, clearly on display.
Lady Gabriella had been dating Mr Kingston for several years when he proposed on the island of Sark in 2018.
He was a director of Devonport Capital, which specialized in providing finance to companies in “frontier economies”.
The Bristol University graduate worked in Baghdad, Iraq, where he campaigned for the release of hostages after joining the Foreign Office's diplomatic missions department, according to the Telegraph.
At the couple's wedding on May 18, 2019, the guest list demonstrated the esteem in which Lady Ella is held by the royal family. The late Queen and Prince Philip were joined by other senior members of the royal family, including Prince Harry, who made time for his then-newborn son Archie.

Lady Gabriella Windsor's husband Thomas Kingston (pictured together in 2019) has died aged 45, Buckingham Palace has announced
In the days following her husband's shocking death, Lady Gabriella, who studied at both Brown University in the US and the University of Oxford and holds degrees in comparative literature and social anthropology, is likely to turn to her immediate family.
Her parents, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, married in 1978 and she has an older sibling, Lord Frederick “Freddie” Windsor.
Freddie, 44, and his wife Sophie Winkleman, 43, half-sister of Strictly presenter Claudia, live nearby after returning to the UK from California.
In an interview with Tatler magazine in December, Sophie said she loved “all the Kents”, suggesting the family share a close bond.
Her parents, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, maintained a close relationship with their son-in-law.
The couple put on a brave face yesterday as they attended a memorial service for King Constantine of Greece, hours before news of their son-in-law's death broke.
Despite their own family tragedy, the couple were determined to pay tribute to the late Greek monarch.
Mr Kingston's family will also likely surround Lady Gabriella with a ring of support. The minor king and Mr Kingston's family have presented a united front following their loss.
A statement released by the palace on behalf of Lady Gabriella, Thomas' parents and his sisters said: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.”

“Tom was an extraordinary man who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.” “His death came as a great shock to the entire family and we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”
While serving in the Foreign Office's diplomatic mission department in Baghdad, Mr. Kingston experienced countless brushes with death, including escaping a suicide bombing that killed 22 people.
No one knew him better in these perilous times than the Reverend Canon Andrew White, who presided over Iraq's only Anglican church for more than a decade, a role that led to him being dubbed the Vicar of Baghdad.
He previously told the Mail he remembered Kingston as “an exceptional young man” who “made things happen”. His great strength is “looking beyond the impossible,” he said.
Like the priest with whom he shared a strong faith, Kingston was an “adrenaline junkie.” He helped lead his ministry, which built a following of 6,500 believers.
Canon White added: “Tom is one of the most remarkable people I have ever worked with and I would have him by my side again if he came tomorrow.”
While some were drawn to Iraq for business reasons, for Kingston Baghdad was far more personal.
Instead, he was driven by a strong faith instilled in him by his parents – his father was elected to the General Synod of the Church of England and his mother was a trustee of a Christian healing center in Cirencester.
After his deployment to Baghdad, he was seconded as project manager for the International Center for Reconciliation, based in Coventry Cathedral, to mediate disputes between political, religious and tribal leaders and negotiate the release of hostages.
Canon White and Tom met in Baghdad. “Tom is a person with a very strong faith,” the Canon recalled in a 2019 conversation with Richard Kay of the Chron.
“It was this belief and commitment that led us to work together in Iraq, where we survived some close calls. They were commonplace.

“Tom has a great determination to make things happen and great insight into what drives people, both good and bad. He uses it to see beyond the impossible and get to the other side.”
His work with Canon White, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, helped sustain the Anglican Church in Baghdad, founded in 1990.
“We built up a huge fan base, I baptized hundreds of them as children and they moved to Jordan.” “Tom helped me.”
The church was located in a former palace of Saddam Hussein and the pulpit was one of his thrones.
“Those were good times,” the priest recalled. “I think Tom would agree and we have stayed in touch by phone and email ever since.”
Both men were in the church when it fell victim to a suicide bombing in 2004.
They had come in just before the explosion that killed two community members and 20 other people.
Interestingly, Mr Kingston was also working with Prince Michael of Kent, his future father-in-law, at this time, although he had not yet met his daughter Gabriella at the time.
“Prince Michael has a relative buried on the Mount of Olives.” “While we were working there, we located the grave for him and ensured it was properly cared for,” Canon White added.
Mr. Kingston later left Baghdad to join private bank Schroders and later joined Devonport Capital, where he helped find investments for frontier economies and those in post-war reconstruction.
Before his marriage to Lady Windsor, he had always discreetly strolled in and around royal circles, with women attracted by his languid confidence.

Kingston, pictured here on his wedding day to Lady Gabriella Windsor, led a remarkable life
He was seen in close proximity with Pippa Middleton, sister of the Princess of Wales, and financier Natalie Hicks-Lobbecke, who was an old flame of Prince William and with whom he dated while working in Iraq.
Even though this relationship didn't work out, it was telling that none of his ex-girlfriends ever seemed to let him down.
As a close friend admiringly told the Mail: “Tom's great achievement is that none of his old girlfriends have anything but nice things to say about him.” Even when it's all over, they still like him.
“In old fashioned terms, he’s a gentleman, exactly the type of man you’d want to introduce to your mother.”
Perhaps this helped tip things in his favor as he and Lady Gabriella Windsor became a couple and it soon became clear that they would be together for the long haul.
