Scoring 1,000 points in the National Hockey League (NHL) is already quite an achievement, imagine scoring that many points at even strength alone.
Sidney Crosby became the ninth player to reach the milestone on Tuesday. Most importantly, he is the fourth fastest driver to achieve this with 1246 games. That's better than true icons like Phil Esposito (1,260 games), Steve Yzerman (1,318), Mark Messier (1,335), Gordie Howe (1,402) and Ron Francis (1,603).

Only Wayne Gretzky (608), Marcel Dionne (1,143) and Jaromir Jagr (1,165) were 1,000 points faster than Crosby.
The Pittsburgh Penguins captain received two assists in the second period of the game against the Vancouver Canucks, including one on the power play. However, he ranks 20th in power play points, especially behind his great rival Alexander Ovechkin.
