Does the announcement of the Ottawa Bluesfest lineup suggest an imminent return of Maroon 5 with special guests on the Plains of Abraham in 2024?

Even if Adam Levine's band's visit to FEQ only dates back to 2022 and the festival's program makers are not keen on bringing back headliners too quickly, this possibility should not be dismissed out of hand.
With 50 Cent, Nickelback, Neil Young, Mötley Crüe, Nas and the Zac Brown Band, the American pop group is one of the most anticipated stars in the federal capital for this festival, which always takes place at the same time as the Festival d'Summer.
Traditionally, some artists who perform at Bluesfest, but not all, travel to Quebec.
Adam wanted to come back
Why should Maroon 5, who have no other concerts planned this summer other than their shows in Las Vegas, be considered among the candidates for the Plains of Abraham?
Recall July 9, 2022. Buoyed by audience enthusiasm, singer Adam Levine suggested three times instead of once that Maroon 5 should return to FEQ “every damn year.”
He even asked live to install a platform in the middle of the floor upon his return so he could meet the festival goers. “I don’t want to be on stage, I want to be in the crowd,” he said.
Yes, but with guests
When asked by Le Journal about Adam Levine's proposal at the end of FEQ 2022, programmer Louis Bellavance did not close the door, but remained cautious.
“Is it realistic to bring back the same headliner year after year? Would it have the desired effect at the ticket counter? But… there are no rules. It's not forbidden.
However, Mr Bellavance had indicated that he would say yes if Maroon 5 returned with guests.
“I would love it. I've tried this so many times. If he was willing to accept carte blanche, that's what it would take to convince me. Adam and friends? Perfect, no hesitation.”
- The program for the Quebec Summer Festival will be announced on March 20th.
