Former Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have revealed that they are currently separated after four years of marriage and are “taking a break.”
Brittany, 35, announced the news on their joint podcast When Reality Hits this week, confirming: “Jax and I are taking some time off and I've made the decision to move to a different home for the sake of my mental health To make space.”
However, Brittany also later hinted that the “breakup” might only be temporary, asking fans to “pray for us” and adding that she believes “everything will be okay.”
Signs of her relationship problems and marital problems will most likely show up on her new reality show, The Valley, premiering March 19.
The popular Bravo stars tied the knot in a fairytale wedding ceremony in June 2019 in Kentucky after a year-long engagement.
But it seems the fairytale is over, at least for now.
“A lot of you have asked me about Jax and I and our relationship,” Brittany said in the podcast episode released Thursday.

The star, who has two-year-old son Cruz with Jax, 44, added: “I just think it's important to be honest and honest with you because we've shared so much of our lives with you.”'
Brittany then specifically referenced some issues the couple was having.
“In my last podcast I pointed out that many marriages go through difficult times. Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I had a particularly hard year last year.
She further hinted that they have now temporarily separated, saying: “Jax and I are taking some time off and I have made the decision to move to another home to make some space for the sake of my mental health.”
She admitted that it's “still very difficult to talk about the breakup,” adding that she “just needs to take it one day at a time.”
“I don't know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom for Cruz,” Brittany added.

Brittany and Jax began dating in 2015 after meeting in Las Vegas, and their courtship was featured on the Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules.
In 2017, the couple split for a while after it was publicly revealed that Jax had slept with another woman.
Nevertheless, the couple got back together before getting married in front of 240 guests just two years later.
After the birth of their baby boy, Jax gushed that fatherhood had “changed” his life.
“I think becoming parents has also made us stronger because I love seeing him as a father,” he told People. “It just makes you love him even more.”
Over the summer, they even told the outlet that they were “definitely going to have more kids.”
“At least one more,” he said. “We’re very busy right now.” It’s been a very busy summer. We are very blessed.'
Jax even gushed about his wife being the “rock” of their family.

In March 2023, the couple hinted at problems in their relationship when she said they were “hanging in there” (pictured November 5, 2023).
“I love her more than anything and I don't know if I would still be on this planet without her, to be honest.” “She and my son really saved me after my dad died,” he told the outlet. “I really owe her my whole life.”

“I don't believe in divorce. “My parents didn’t get divorced,” he told People. “I don’t believe in that.” Getting married is work. I'm not saying every day is great.'
He added that he “honestly” couldn't imagine “life with anyone else” and assured fans that they were still having “a lot of fun together.”
