Sabotage: Bride covered in red paint walks down the aisle

A bride from Mexico was allegedly covered in red paint and humiliated by her future husband's family, who did not approve of the marriage, as she walked down the aisle in the middle of a ceremony last week.

“At first the guests thought the red color might be blood […] “The bride said the worst thing was her mother's face because at first she thought she had been physically hurt,” a resident of the city of Ciudad Obregón in Mexico said on Saturday, sharing footage of the events on Reddit, according to The New York Post.

On February 18, the bride named Alexandra was preparing to enter the church to join her future husband at the altar when passers-by sprayed her white dress with red paint at the request of her spouse's family during the ceremony, American media reported.

The family feud is said to have started over money because the man's wealthy family wanted him to marry a rich woman.

However, this was not the case with the “charming” bride because the family had accused her of wanting to make financial profit from the situation, a witness summarized in a publication that received more than a million views on X.

However, when the engagement was announced, the in-laws' disagreement would have immediately become even greater, while the future groom's mother would have even gone so far as to fake a heart attack and demand that her son pay back “all medical expenses.” according to the New York Post.

But despite the stained dress, the two brides and grooms managed to exchange their vows after a quick change of clothes.

Nevertheless, the in-laws had not yet said their last word when they then sent the police to the reception under the pretext that the guests had hidden drugs on the premises. They then allegedly tried to ruin the honeymoon by trying to bribe the travel agent and hide the groom's passport – to no avail.

In the comments, several netizens advised the couple to contact the police, fearing that the contempt would become even greater. However, it is unclear whether the bride would have filed a police report.

“If the in-laws do this now, wait until she gets pregnant!” I would be scared for my life, they seem so unbalanced that I have no doubt they might try to hurt her more,” one of them complained, according to the NY Post.
