Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai have returned to team training ahead of Liverpool's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but Mohamed Salah remains out.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is also hoping Wataru Endo and Andy Robertson will be available for the trip to the City Ground.
Nunez has missed the last three games due to muscle problems, while Szoboszlai has not played since the end of January due to a thigh injury.
Endo (ankle) and Robertson (illness) both missed Wednesday's FA Cup fifth-round win over Southampton.
The Premier League leaders are desperate for reinforcements amid a hectic schedule after missing 14 members of the senior team in midweek.
“Darwin and Dom trained with the team yesterday so we have to wait and see how they react,” Klopp said.
“Wataru and Robbo didn’t do this, but there’s a plan for them to join in today.
“Macca (Alexis Mac Allister) was sick for a day and a half and Robbo had the same thing. Hopefully it hasn't spread. I haven’t heard that before.”
Salah is still rehabbing after feeling discomfort in his hamstring following his comeback against Brentford two weeks ago.
“I don’t think Mo is too far away, but he won’t make it tomorrow,” Klopp added. “It’s possible next week. On the way back, but not yet at the destination.”
