Participate in Get me out of here! was both the most beautiful and the most difficult professional experience of my life.
It's not every day that we have the opportunity to leave the media jungle in Quebec and into the jungle in Panama!
But the crazy thing is, if I were asked to go back there tomorrow morning to relive the experience with Phil, Alex, Rosalie, Patricia, Audrey, Sébastien, Clodine and Dave, I would say “yes” without hesitation.
It's crazy when you think about it: when I was close to death, I felt the most alive. Sitting on a tightrope between two skyscrapers, I “turned my life upside down,” as a teenager would say. But eight months later, I clearly remember that feeling of intensity running through me.

The kindness of the team, the determination of the brave stuntmen who supervised the filming, the solidarity with the campers, these are things that we will not forget.
Among the other things we do not forget: the intense heat that prevailed in Panama, like a July heat wave in Montreal, 24 hours a day, without the slightest break, without the slightest hint of heat. “fresh air.” ; the mosquitoes that have literally devoured every millimeter of our bodies and whose bites have marked my skin for weeks; the hunger that constantly gripped us and made us obsessed with food (I've never dreamed so much about pizza and fries).
I won't forget the crazy laughs with Alex and Jean-Philippe, the hugs with the campers in difficult times, the tenderness and complicity with people who, just a few hours before, were “public figures” and whom I only joined on red carpets premieres or on my television screen.

But what I remember most from my time on Get Me Out of Here! is pride. It's a feeling we rarely talk about. At SMDI we were not in competition with each other, but rather with ourselves.
Confronted with our fears, our vulnerabilities, our anxieties and our weaknesses. I'm proud of what I've done, proud of what I've achieved. Nobody can take it away from me. Nobody did it for me. And today I am convinced that I am stronger and more confident in the jungle of life after experiencing the jungle of Panama.
