The Laval Rocket had the chance to face an opponent they have had success against this season, the Hartford Wolf Pack, but Jean-François Houle's men fell to the in-form Dylan Garand in a 2-game loss at the XL Center .
The New York Rangers farm club goaltender made 32 saves to record his third win in his last four starts. It was Olof Lindbom and Louis Domingue who were defeated by the Rockets earlier this season.

The American League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens had scored 13 goals in three games against the Wolfpack, but this time the lack of opportunism hurt. The successes of Brandon Scanlin and Brett Berard in the first third also made the difference.
After finishing the first 20 minutes strong, the Rocket quickly scored after returning from the locker room. Emil Heineman combined his efforts with those of Brandon Gignac and hit the target after just 39 seconds.
Laval had more success in the second period than in any other game this week. In the last three games, the six goals all came in the second period, including all four in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Bridgeport Islanders.
Jakub Dobes didn't play his best game between the posts with only 22 saves on 24 shots.
The Laval team will still be on the road to face the Thunderbirds on Saturday in Springfield.
